Transit of Venus 2004

Finally after 122 years Venus will transit across solar disk.  This interesting and beautiful accident will be happened on June 08, 2004. Some of countries around the world can observe the transit. Americans, Western Europeans, Western Africans, Australians and Eastern Asians can't visit this happening because of their location. It will be started at 05:29:13 (UT) and finished at 11:25:59 (UT). According to NASA maps which produced by Fred Espenak, Iran and middle east are the best locations for transit observation. Now the amateurs are working to record the transit by different methods. Photography, video observation, simulations, ETC are some of the projects investigated. This is a light point for astronomers and others to observe Venus planet. Following maps help you to have suitable information of transit. Next transit of Venus will be observed in 2012.


International Common Scientific Programs

Around the world thousands of amateurs being available for V-transit 2004 and itself programs. Amateurs of astronomy dept of HRC also are working hardly for their common projects with Essen University of Germany. These projects are about :

Great sky party beside K1 observatory

As last year we will establish a sky party, but now this is about transit of Venus 2004. HRC and Shirinnam Trading Company (CHIDAK GAZ) will establish great sky party beside K1 observatory on the roof of Shirinnam beautiful building. The party will be started with transit of Venus, with observation of transit. everyone wants to observe the transit in K1 observatory can participate in this party.

Live Broadcasting from K1 Observatory

After successful live broadcasting of transit of Mercury (May 7, 2003), now we are ready for transit of Venus 2004. Great number of countries in the world cannot observe the transit, because of their location or low power instruments. We will help them to visit this beautiful happening,  lively.
