New Project to Complete Sun Processor (June 2004)

Two years ago (2002) HRC started to program a software (called Sun Processor) to analyze data of the Sun and stars such as images, spectra and waves. At first they made surface temperature analyzer for 2 and 3 dimensional processes then continued in analyze of spectra of solar and stellar light. But because of some problems their project stopped in 2003.

Now After one year some active students from Isfahan university of Technology (IUT), department of Physics, has came in HRC and are working on Sun Processor to add investigation of none linear spectra and another specification to it. If this stage of project done the Sun Processor will equipped to many of tools for Sun studying. (More Details)

Second Stage for Spectrograph Project (September 2004)

Marzieh Pooramrollahi, Zohreh Khosravi and Zoya shokoohi are members of designing team. Now, the final design of spectrograph is ready, So they are working on its final structure. The used grating has 1800 grooves per millimeter. Such huge numbers of grooves cause many problems for designers. But they are solving them one after one. If the problems solved completely, this spectrograph will be one the best tools in Iran to study stars, binaries, galaxies and sunspots magnetic field.

Also programmers of Sun Processor software are completing the codes. By these codes, the software is able to analyze the data of stellar light and compare them with standard numerical tables and will be calibrated with spectrograph.

After all of these attempts, K1 observatory will be equipped to a high resolution spectrograph. The final results will be reported. (More Details)

Sun School 2004 in IUT (November 2004)

HRC and astronomy society of Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) established a school for university students who want to get their educational projects on solar subjects. This Sun School established on November 29, 2004, in Physics department of IUT. About 20 students attended in this program. Mohammad Akoochekian (HRC President) was teacher of this school. School subjects were :

  • Solar Interior

  • Surface Happenings

  • Coronal Physics

  • Solar Activities

  • Spectroscopy

Students who get educational projects on Sun, will work under management of Dr Zafarollah Kalantary and HRC. The results of projects will be used commonly, by IUT and HRC. HRC use most of these results for solar eclipse 2006. (More Details)

First Prize for HRC in E-Products Festival (November 2004)

Final stage of 1st e-products festival established in November 19, 2004 in Isfahan (Bahonar college) and its winners introduced. Mohammad Akoochekian (HRC president) attended in this festival with 6 multimedia and web based softwares.

At the end of this festival, among hundreds of producer from all of the Iran's regions, Mohammad Akoochekian and the software, HRC-Physics.1, were introduced as one of the the first winners. He received Festival Statue, Diploma of Honor and 2 Gold Coins. Rahim Madanian, president of Isfahan education organization, awarded him this great prize.

This was predictable, because from the first days of festival, it was clear that the HRC products are more technical and professional than others. Now HRC has programs for next year festival to wine the first prize for another time. for more details you can visit  www.isfedu.org .

Radio Phoenix Started in R&D Grade (November 2004)

Radio observation is one of the most important subjects in astronomical researches. But there is a problem! Each researcher can only receive and record his own location data. In some programs, for example meteor shower, amateurs want to have other observations results in other locations. HRC with association is designing and making equipments for online meteors radio observation which develop the phoenix usages (Radio Phoenix). Via this project, the meteor observers, around the world, can receive data of Iran sky, time to time. This project is done in 2 parts. First, hardware, 2 long antennas, receiver and interface to connect antennas to the computer. Second, a software which receive date from antennas, then analyze them and finally send the results to HRC website automatically . Around the pick of meteor shower, this helps the observers to compare their results together. Marzieh Pooramrollahi is head and Hajar VAkili and Majidi-far are members of this important project.

Sky Dreams, a New Phenomena in HRC  (January 2005)

At the first days of 2005, a new group in HRC, was founded to produce learning and research movies, called "Sky Dreams". In fact this group worked in HRC, before this time, under management of ScienSoft department. But now work independently. The first products are on biology. This movie is under digital edit. Ehsan Eslahi and Hootan Negary are digital editor and voice recording manager. This product will be produced in Persian, Arabic and English languages for Iran and other countries and will be distributed, at first of March 2005.

New CCD of K1 Observatory (January 2005)

New CCD of K1 observatory was tested successfully, at January 27, 2005. This Meade product, is controlled completely via computer. At the first night of use, it took some beautiful images from Moon, nebula M42, Jupiter and Saturn. The Moon final image is composed of 8 mosaic images that were collected together by Photoshop software. This was the first step to Moon mapping project. Dr Mohammad Rafieinia, Marzieh Pooramrollahi and Hajar Vakili controlled the telescope carefully and Mohammad Akoochekian used the computer to take and process the images. At the future, after some experience and using other instruments, many other beautiful images will be taken. See images: M42  Saturn  Jupiter Moon

Final Step to the Phoenix Project (February 2005)

Since 2003 till now, HRC astronomy and IT department are working on Phoenix, a live astronomy program. Step to step the researcher completed the program, more and more. Live Webcaste, controllers (hardwares and softwares), equipments and ... . Live Webcaste of phoenix established superb programs at Mercury and Venus transit 2003 and 2004. Finally after two years R&D and technical program, Phoenix tested successfully some times. Researchers controlled the telescope and took photos directly. At may 2005, after a great party, Phoenix will be started to work and users can use it.

New Mission for HRC President in Rahnema.com (March 2005)

At the end of February 2005, Mohammad Akoochekian (HRC President), received an invitation from Amin Vohooshi, president of Rahnema IT company (RDC). RDC is 9th company in internet solutions in Iran.  RDC invited him to use his experiences in human resources management.  After some dialogue between them, Mohammad accepted his request and now in addition of his last responsibilities he is manager of RDC human resources.
