Live Broadcasting, Stage 1 of Phoenix Project  (April, 2003)

• Live broadcasting was one of the most important stage of Phoenix project. Some of astronomical happenings, such as eclipses, transits, ... are rare or short term or don't observe from all regions of world. So it's suitable that these interesting happenings show for world people, as live. Phoenix live broadcasting is responsible of this mission. It is possible for all to watch all the astronomical happenings without any trip or even exit from home. Transit of Venus 2004 was the first and successful test for it. All of this only done by HRC WWW, internet connection, phone line and a simple PC. (More)

Transit of Mercury 2003, First Public Test for Phoenix  (May, 2003)

• May 8,2003 was an important points in HRC progresses. Mercury crossed over surface of sun disk. It was very small. K1 observatory, as all others in the world, was ready to record this beautiful happening. Live broadcasting and photography were in order. This was the first public test for Phoenix. After about six hours, HRC professionals could show all the story via internet and HRC WWW. All in the world could watch full story without any special tool. There were some problems, but they solved them and did their responsibility, very successful. This program covered by Iran TV, Newspapers, WWWs. Spaceweather.com, an distinguished international website, Nojum.net , Parssky.com and ... introduced this live show to their visitors. (More)

AstroMatch 2003, Other Beauty of Sky Kids  (May, 2003)

• After beautiful program in last year, HRC decided to continue it, every year. In may 11, 2003 HRC and Adib Astronomy Society (AAS) established a program for Children and the young. This program included Astronomical Paint. This match was established in the beautiful garden of "Isfahan Child & Youngster Home" beside Zayandehrood river. (More)

  Book; Journey From the Center of the Sun, Translated (May, 2003)

• 4 years ago, when we started our researches  in solar physics, we established some seminars, gatherings, academy and schools. But there was no suitable, complete and translated reference for students. So Mohammad Akoochekian (HRC president) selected a book titled "Journey from the Center of the Sun" which was written by J.B. Zirker and published by Princeton and Oxford university presses. It contains about 300 pages and included all principals of solar physics, internal and external structures, surface happenings, history of solar researches, new studies and missions, and all details that is need for solar studies. This translation was finished at Jan 2004. Now it is in edition stage.

New Name for HRC WWW, HRCglobal.net ( August, 2003)

• Because of technical problems, IT dept decided to change the address of HRC WWW. HRC Global Network or HRCglobal.net.

13 Titles of Astronomical VCD, New Products ( August, 2003)

• After 5 numbers of astronomical VCDs, software dept product 13 new titles of VCDs. They are Cosmos series by Carl Sagan.  

Internet Part of Phoenix Completed (December, 2003)

• One part of Phoenix project is internet method. By this method the observer connect to K1 observatory only by internet. They receive all services of Phoenix. At Dec 2003 this part was completed and now is available to use. (More)

New Filters for New Solar and Night Sky Researches (December, 2003)

• Dec. 04, 2003 HRC astronomy Dept. had a suitable, successful program in K1 observatory. Because of HRC research on Sun, the New German solar filter which work on visible light tested and some images took by it. By this filter providing the sharp and high resolution images of sunspots will be possible. Other Japanese filters also used for special stars, none stellar objects, Moon and planets.

Full Computerized Spectrograph Started to Design (December, 2003)

• In the last months Marzieh Pooramrollahi and Zoya Shokoohi were working hardly to designe a kind of spectrograph. This tools will be used to studying sunspots ziman effect, solar corona and stars. This will be connected directly to computer and the spectra analyzed by PC and will be compared with standard spectra. They use one of HRC software, Sun Processor, to analyzing obtained spectra. When this important project done successfully, K1 observatory will has a high resolution spectrograph, help us to do many suitable projects.

Amateur Group for Astro. Dept.  (December, 2003)

• In this year because of astro dept  proposes, the new group was required which manage public programs, projects and peaches. This group designed and now is active under management of Marzieh Pooramrollahi. Until now, this group established some observational camping.

Simulation Laboratory Born in Fundamental Sci. dept (February, 2004)

• From 3 years ago, HRC had some computational projects on physics, mathematics. Now this projects are under management of simulation laboratory. (More)

First Programs for Solar Eclipse 2006  (February, 2004)

• Astro dept are working on a very important project about coronal magnetic fields. This is one part of sun processor software. So we are wait for solar eclipse 2006. From one year age HRC astro researcher are programming for this eclipse. Now first detailed programs are available. These programs are about the contrary they will go, the research tools they will require, and the activities they will do.

Virtual Observatory, New Stage of Phoenix (February, 2004)

• Another important part of Phoenix is the virtual observatory. It is product of great ability of HRC members on IT and internet technology. This observatory help observers to observe whole sky and all objects. It works by HRC huge data bank. (More) 

Last Programs for Transit of Venus  (March, 2004)

• After 2 years of hard work and programming, all things are OK for Venus transit 2004. Hardwares, softwares, tools, programs, ... all are OK. HRC administration group after some debating, finally write final programs of transit. These programs are include of all details of live broadcasting, sky party, peaches, Iranian and foreign guests programs, agreements with other centers, responsibilities, managers selection, ... .

Sun Processor, Another Advances   (March, 2004)

• Each year sun processor software completed more and more and expands to new area of analyzes. This year, HRC programmers, add new abilities to the software. These abilities are consist of:

  • Analyzes of none linear spectra

  • Cleaning the spectral photos from parasites
