HRC In 1381 Persian Year

Mahtab Group, and Crescent Moon Observations  (April, 2002)

  • Mahtab astronomy group is the most active observational group of AAS which working regularly on moon observation. After an agreement between HRC and AAS this group could use the K1 observatory to observe the morning moon. They had about 5 observation in k1, and you can receive their results in http://www.isfahan.ir/kamaneasemani/mcrescent.html .


Phoenix, a Project for Live Astronomy, Started   (May, 2002)

  • People who haven't suitable Telescope but want to observe the sky, like to use the telescopes in the observatories. This is very hard for them to go to observatories because of far distances, etc. So this is very good and beautiful that they can use the observatories telescopes in their home by connected computer to the Internet. Phoenix is a great project for astronomers around the world. They can send a request for K1 and get a date and time for observation, then observe the sky on their PC as life. (More)


HRC is Equipped for Mercury and Venus Transits  (June, 2002)

  • In May 07,2003 and June 08,2004 we will have transits of Mercury an Venus trough earth and sun. We want to show them live with great international sky party and suitable projects. So HRC started to programming and equipping for these two important and rare happenings. Good Filters, correction of telescope configuration, and peach are some of them. Phoenix live broadcasting (a part of Phoenix project), will show the transits to world peoples.


  K1 Life Started  (June, 2002)

  • Finaly in June 26,2002, the Isfahan first observatory started to research. life K1 observatory realy started in first days of 2002, but at June 2002 it started to work, under cover of Iranian media. Iranian media reflected the starting of K1 observatory. Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) presented some reports about K1 observatory in channels 2, 3 and 5 of IRIB TV for about 5 times. Iranian astronomy magazines (Nojum magazine) wrote about K1 in its No.119. Mardom Salari, Keyhan, Nasle Farda and some other newspapers wrote about K1 in their deferent numbers in last week. They also wrote about K1 sponsor, Shirin Nam Co.; Nojum magazine wrote: "This is very interesting that a traditional company supported an astronomy research project. This is the first observatory in Isfahan."

    Also TV Reporter said: "Every ones who like the astronomy, specially Sun studying, contact to HRC." (More)


AstroMatch 2001 with Voice of Kids Happiness ( July, 2002)

  • In July 20, 2002 HRC and Adib Astronomy Society (AAS) established a program for Children and the young. This program included 3 matches:

    • Astronomical Paint

    • Speak with Sky

    • Astronomical Examination

    This match was established in the beautiful garden of "Isfahan Child & Youngster Home" beside Zayandehrood river. (More)


Match for Best Meteor Shower Observation ( August, 2002)

  • Perseid Meteor Shower came again. Amateur Astronomers around the world were available to record meteors data and analyze them. Isfahan astronomy centers, Adib Astronomical Society (AAS), Iran Akhtarvash Society (IAS) and Hedayatgaran Research Center (HRC), had some programs in these days (Aug. 10-13, 2002). After Perseid Meteor Shower 2002, HRC introduced the best observers who recorded and analyzed this meteor shower, so HRC selected 8 observers from AAS and IAS. Their prizes were awarded to them in Friday, August 16, 2002, in HRC building by Mohammad Akoochekian (HRC President) and Shahrzad Rafieian (HRC Edu. Dept. Manager). Reza Monajjemi (AAS President), Ali Forooghi (IAS Manager) and Dariush Sichani (IAS Broad. Manager) were in this program. (More)


New Term of HRC Astronomy Academy  (October, 2002)

  • HRC established an astronomy academy in October 2003. This academy is a two-year course in various astronomy topics consists of: Comets (1), Astrophotography (1), Sun(1), Astronomical Tools, Meteor Shower, Computational Simulation (More) 


Sun Processor, 2003 Edition  (January, 2003)

  • This is a three years project to design and produce a hardware and software package to analyze the data of Sun, for example Spectroscopy, Temperature Analyze (3D,2D), Sun spots investigation, etc . This project will be continue. New edition of software was available in jan 2003, is equipped to analyzer of solar spectra. This project will be continue.


New Version of Sky & Search.1 (January, 2003)

  • After two years from S&S.1 producing, its new version came to software shops. In this version, HRC software dept. added new information and modified the software according to new versions of programming softwares. Now this 2003 edition is faster, stronger and more useful than last one.


IAS 3th Gathering (February, 2003)

  • Iran Akhtarvash Society established the 3rd Astronomy and Astrophysics Gathering of Isfahan State in Feb 17 - 18, 2003. The number of participates were about 150 and also 13 seminars were delivered. HRC had a seminar in this gathering about Phoenix project. (More)


Sun+, a New Tool for Solar Temperature Analyzing (March, 2003)

  • Sun+ is little sister of Sun Processor software and designed according to precise astrophysical principals to analyze surface temperature of sun.
