The 1st Persian School On Perseid Meteor Shower

After
successful school on Leonid Meteor Shower in November 1999 , our
astronomy department decided to organize a group for study and research
about meteor shower. After this program they started working on meteor shower. |
In August 9,10,11,12, 2000 HRC Astronomy
Dept. established a
school on Perseid meteor Shower. Isfahan & Falah high school were hosts of this school.
Prof. Ajabshirzadeh, Mr. O. Zakarian, Mr. M. Rafieinia &
Mr. J. Arshadi
were teachers of this school. After school the students of this school went to Hasan-Abad
village for data recording of meteor shower. The meteor information
analyzed and sent to JAS (www.jas.org.jo) and HRC (www.geocities.com/hrc_test). HRC is the first
scientific center in Iran that has set a school on meteor shower up.
