Astronotice
Space Radio Observation
Astronotice as a radio astronomy program is include of
2 parts. Each of these parts has its special missions:
International Meteor Organization (IMO) introduced Astronotice(1) in its
world projects links
(More details).
Solar radio observation is an
important subject at solar researches area. Astronotice(2) will be active on
IV-A
type of solar flares waves with 3-6 GHz wave length. Of curse it use 3-meters
dish, LMB, receiver, amplifier, A/D card, spectrum analyzer and some softwares.
Antenna follow the sun and
receive IV-A type flares waves at 3-6 GHz. These wave come from chromosphere. The waves will be converted and stored in PC
via A/D card and softwares and simultaneously analyzed by spectrum analyzer . Hakimeh Majidifard as project manager and
Mohammad Akoochekian as theoretical researcher are working on this project since 2005,
Although some technical problem decline the project development speed.

The data were analyzed by
different softwares and will be published at observatory website for all of
researchers. All of these processes are remote control. Observers only turn on
the systems. They can leave the observatory and transfer data to HRC office
every time they want.
This project is a start point
for
another great projects and will target sun and center core of Milky Way.
Radio Meteor Observation is the first stage of Astronotice. HRC amateur astronomers are working on meteors detection to obtaining some of their features. So, they used a 6 meters Yagi antenna, a MHz receiver and some suitable softwares to detection and analyze the meteors. Most of these equipments have been designed and made by HRC engineers. This project receives the reflected waves from meteors. Hajar Vakili as project manager and theoretical researcher and Hakimeh Majidifard (designer of antenna, receiving hardware and software), have worked regularly since November 2004. They studied many scientific and technical references to search for suitable techniques. Then they tested some softwares.
Dr Rafieinia as astronomy department manager has
leaded this project since the first days. He believed if this project combined
with
live webcast, the new generation of radio meteor observation will be borne.
Finally, after 1.5 year, this project has been run at K1 observatory.

The antenna receive the reflected waves from
meteor on FM. The receiver detect and amplify the waves and send them to the PC
sound card. Then some softwares record and analyze receiving waves and data,
simultaneously. Finally the final results send to HRC website for all around
the world. All of this remote control actions are done automatically. Observers
only turn on the computers and other hardware. They can leave observatory and
transfer data from observatory to HRC office each time they want.

The second project for Astronotice(1) is
designing and programming a master software which receive, record and analyze
waves and data and then send the results to the website. This project will be
done completely in HRC. The 3rd stage is designing an array of antennas around
Iran to cover great area of Iran sky at terms of meteor showers. Installing
similar array of antennas at other countries is final stage of Astronotice(1).
These Ideas are so great but with our good national and international friends we
can run this project completely. HRC will collaborate with astronomical groups
around Iran and world to design and run the system of radio observation and will
connect them to unit communication system. We will transfer the technical maps
or some equipments to active small astronomical groups which are ready to
contribute.
