We provided all of required equipments. Tuesday we
will established our last tests for our instruments and methods. Photography by
2 camera is main activity. High school students who are working on digital
photography from partial eclipse in Iran will spend Tuesday with us in testing
camp. Today we update HRCglobal.net WebPages for eclipse. Marzieh Pooramrollahi
tested the live webcast programs for final version. This version is faster and
easier to work. One day before eclipse we will send a sms to HRCglobal.net users
for eclipse live webcast.

From the early morning HRC team was trying to
test their instruments and prepare to take it out in a larger scale in
Antalya solar eclipse festival. our team made of Mohammad Akoochekian and Ali Rahimi worked on live webcasting and test the telescope and webcam we want to
use in turkey. Dr Rafie nia and Ehsan Eslahi worked with camera and Tele
lenses(500fd canon lenses) and took some photos from the sun .also they tested
their polarizing filter .then we set up a tent as we will do in Antalya. its so
funny when u want to take up a tent but when u have to set it down! we had many
problems doing it off course without the help of Mohammad older
brother we couldn't!!! then we had our lunch consist of rice chicken and
beverages delicious! .thanks to Mohammad's mother! all of the things were OK!
hope to do a great job in turkey as we did it again and again in such a big
moments like the last solar eclipse ,Venus transit and many more...

Tomorrow HRC team will leave Isfahan to Antalya. So the final practice and
instrument test were done today. Live webcast was main topic of this program.
HRC student members who are active on partial solar eclipse in Iran established
another practice for their digital photography project. They are base of HRC
future programs. Perhaps they will be members of HRC team for solar eclipse
2008.
Miss Zoya
Shokoohi, one of active members who is passenger of eclipse received high
resolution spectrograph of K1 observatory to record corona spectra. She will
travel to Antalya with members of Iran astronomy society.

Team Before Travel at Bus Terminal
Today we leaved Isfahan to
Urmieh. We leaved HRC office to bus station by 4 cars because The team carried
many instruments and equipments (about 200 Kg) for the projects. On 4 o'clock,
bus moved to Urmieh. At the first times we checked the programs of trip.

Team arrived Urmieh at 9 O'clock.
After breakfast we exchanged our money to Turkish and bough later tickets to Van
and Antalya. We arrived Van at 16:30.

Then our Turkish friends guided us to Shahin hotel. Between Iran boundary and Van (Turkey) we stopped many times
because of Turkish police controlling passengers passports and ID cards. But the invitation of Akdeniz university
helped us to solved the problems. Other Iranian Turkish people who traveled with
us, were so patient and helped us so much. Night, we visited the city (Van) and
bought some souvenirs. I recorded 20 minutes video from city life. Van in not big
city but you can find most of the things you can see in a big one and very live
city. Tomorrow we will go to
Antalya.

4 men and 200 Kg loads were carried to
terminal just by 1 car
We leaved hotel at 8:30 to Bus terminal. Ehsan continued video recording from people when we were walking
to terminal. Bus driver and attendant helped us to set our equipments in bus
box. Then the bus moved to Antalya at 9:30. Bus attendants had good behaviors
and solved our problems. One the important problems was language. We could not
speak Turkish and they could not speak English. Tomorrow we will arrive Antalya.

Before arriving Antalya we
passed from many beautiful forests and jingles. Ehsan recorded about 1 hour
video from these beauties. More ever bus attendants help us to spend our time
better.

Finally, after more than 30 hours
traveling and bus changing, we arrived Antalya, a beautiful city at beach of
Mediterranean sea. We took 2 taxies to Akdeniz university. Miss Ayten from
university guest house helped us as English translator, to take rooms. Gust
house is beautiful place near university entrance. After resting we started
walking around university. Then we went to administrator building of national
observatory. Korhan and Ali (two phd Akdeniz University students) from
observatory guided us to find best site for HRC team on the roof of building.

The Tubitak library has been reserved for HRC
programs office with Internet line and other scientific requirements. Internet line and electricity were the most important requirements. Mohammad
Akoochekian and Tuncay Ozisik made a phone calling to review the scientific
plans. Akdeniz university has been designed so beautiful for students and
researchers. Gardens, faculties and entertainments has been placed in suitable
locations. You can enjoy your education in this university.

Today, our work plan was so busy. After breakfast
we transported our instruments and equipments to national observatory
administrator building. Our new friend Korhan help us to select a site for the
equipments installing. A fast internet line provided by other new friend, Ismaeil
Baslar, observatory IT manager. HRC team worked hardly to setup observation and
live webcast systems. Ismael helped live webcast group to adjust their systems
with university internet service. Internet speed is so good for live webcast as
frame by frame and also live stream. So at the day of eclipse, we will send some
movies from beautiful phenomenon, when the solar eclipse will be finished. You
can watch it via Real Media Player.
Photography group worked on exposure times. Other teams from Germany and Turkey
came in building and install their equipments and record movie for their own TV
channels. Lunch, we were guest of Ismaeil and observatory. Ismaeil is a warm
man. We discussed about university and national observatory. When the work
finished, at the yard of the university we visited a Mr. Tortoise (: and
Mohammad Akoochekian took some photos with him. Evening we went to sea beach and
... :) .

When going around of Antalya was finished, we went to a restaurant for
Turkish kebab (Duner). But ... but it was not delicious and we ate yogurt and
bread to get ride of hungry.

We started at 9:30 on the roof
of administration building. Rafienia and Eslahi worked on photography and video
recording. Akoochekian and Rahimi adjusted the telescope configuration and CCD
cameras. 4 CCDs will record and broadcast the eclipse images. A group from
Akdeniz university installed their equipments near us. Another group were
working on spectrography in an small observatory beside building. We tested all
of the equipments and methods successfully. The another HRC team in Iran had
hold a program to coordinate planes of projects. This team has good
communication with the another team in Turkey. Final program was interview with
Dr Rafienia and Akoochekian about projects.

Finally after several years
trying the eclipse time came. We were ready for this beautiful events. Other
countries teams were ready too. At 7:30 (UT) we started our live webcast with an
image from sun spots. At 9:40 (UT) the moon entered over the surface of sun. The
number of HRCglobal.net visitors increased to 2000. As the eclipse continued the
number of observers at our location and web visitors increased. Finally total
eclipse started and the sky color changed from blue to black. But so beautiful
black. I saw the glorious corona in telescope eyepiece. OH GOD, ... (See
images). Rafienia and Eslahi were photographing and video recording. After
eclipse we started other stage, Image and reviewing. Those are so beautiful and
glorious. Thanks god every things were ok. Other groups showed their images and
video together and compared them. They show us the images and wanted our
opinions. At the end of programs, observers took some photos together.

Different Nations, Different languages with different religious, collaborated
together for a
common propose
2 days latter we will come back too Iran.

Prof. van der Hulst and
Akoochekian, negotiated for Sun Processor
Night at the hotel Prof J.M.
van der Hulst (Director of Kapteyn Astronomical Institute) invited us to a
negotiation about HRC projects, specially coronal magnetic field. After 1.5
hours discussion, he offered HRC to established common project with Groningen
university to develop Sun Processor software for Linux.

Zifir Blues Band Concert
At the first time of night, the
university students (Zifir Blues Band) established a concert for solar eclipse.
This was so dramatic.
