Total Solar Eclipse 2006
Results of International Friends
Tina Weikard
Tina Weikard is a German smart student who work on
Corona polarized imaging in the term of Solar Eclipse 2006. Her images are
suitable for some studying on Corona magnetic field. She traveled to Turkey with
here family and
recorded some images and photos. We collaborated together since one week before
eclipse to now. She sent us some of her results. She is working on her data, and
we hope she can finish her project as soon, successfully. If you have any idea about her project,

She used a linear polarization filter to record
polarized images from solar
corona. The filter angle changed from 0 to 120 (deg.). Tina sent her images for
us to analyze them by HRC
Sun Processor
and compair them with our results. The results will be published as soon.
Tina analyzed her own photos via her methods and
softwares.
Her first results have been shown in following images. But this is the first step,
because it must be compared with other standard models. If you have any idea you can contact us via

We analyzed her images by our Sun Processor.
Following image shows the result. Lines direction and length at each point help
us to estimate direction and intensity of magnetic field line of that point.

Andreas von Rétyi
Andreas traveled to Turkey with Tina. He took some
beautiful photos via his Canon EOS 20 D and a Masutov Refractor where the focus
was about 1 meter.
